AIR is a 30-year-old nonprofit that provides their talent network of over 1,400 public media journalists, media makers and producers with resources, support, and opportunities. AIR aims to grow their membership to 5,000 members over the next two years while leading efforts to advocate for better pay and rights for diverse, freelance audio producers. The Work Department guided them through a rebrand and website redesign process that will position them to better meet these goals.
Over the past 9 months, we’ve acted as a trusted partner to AIR, extending their team’s capacity and skillsets to undertake a full rebranding and website redesign. Through conversations with staff and select board and organizational members, we created a request for proposals that documented AIR’s current challenges and desired outcomes. Based on our experience, we advised AIR on project budget and timeline and managed a process for disseminating the request for proposals nationwide, having one-on-one informational conversations with interested firms, and reviewing the proposals to select a firm. Throughout the rebranding and redesign process, we’ve helped collect and share feedback from AIR stakeholders, provide design and technical guidance, strategize on testing and a launch plan, and help all parties meet our objectives and timeline.
